The story begins with the murder of Eugene Oscar and his mother Camilla. Did that scene offer any insights about the killer?

Loverofbooks - Jae' ♒️♍️♑️ (loverofbooks-jae) | 23 comments Once we were introduced to Camilla's brother and was provided a little background, I did suspect one of the his daughters, but my motive was off.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments When I read the prologue, I was concentrating on trying to figure out if the gunman was a man or woman. I didn't come to any solid conclusions, but I felt like it was a woman who killed them.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments My only thought at the time was that the killer was someone who had known both Oscar and his mother for a long time, primarily due to the killer's comment that the mother was aware of Oscar's "innate viciousness". Only someone very familiar with both would think like that.

I also had this sense.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I was sure the murderer was a woman. At first I thought it was his ex-wife or an ex girlfriend. I knew it was someone who Oscar hurt or abused and his mother covered up. For some reason I didn't think it was family. I kept waiting for someone he arrested and raped while in custody to appear.
