Alexis and Noah face some truths about themselves, both acknowledging that deep down, they had some anger towards their dead parents. She was angry because her mother never told Elliott of her existence and their lives might have been easier if she had. Noah was angry that his father chose another deployment that left them alone, turning him into a hactivist to lash out at him rather than defending him. Your thoughts?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I understand their feelings. I tried to put myself in the characters shoes to imagine how I would feel.

I can't wrap my head around her mother's reasoning like Alexis. I get feeling betrayed by Elliott at first. However, he has a child who would want to know who her parent at some point. It was selfish. She kept the information from him to protect herself. It is even more concerning that she didn't inform her child when she started asking about her parent. The anger Alexis feels is justified.

It is hard to lose a parent anytime, but more so as a child. I completely understand his feelings. His father wasn't required to take this deployment. His father decided to go even though he knew there was a chance he wouldn't come home. Noah would see that as a decision to leave his family.

Noah couldn't let the anger and hatred go even as he aged. He needed to talk to a professional. As an adult, Noah should be able to look at the decision with a more mature attitude. I felt bad for Noah. He held onto his anger for too long.
