After 3,678 in 15 polls the winner of our 8th annual March Madness tournament is Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree .

Here is the breakdown of the tournament: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Thanks to everyone who participated!

Stephen Richter (stephenofskytrain) | 1638 comments I read it after I heard all the buzz, Travis Baldree is also a narrator for
Will Weight' s Cradle Series among a slew of others.

Trike | 11190 comments I loved this book. Rob told me Baldree was a professional narrator, and he’d clearly been paying attention to what does and doesn’t work in the books he’s recorded. I highly recommend the audiobook version of this one.

I had put a hold on this back in December (apparently) and ended up listening to it a few weeks ago. I really enjoyed it.

I agree with Trike that the audio version is excellent (as is all the other stuff I've listened to him narrate for that matter).

Legends and Lattes continues 'Swords' dominance of March Madness. 6 of 8

Also the 2nd winning book that I was the first to nominate 😎
Invisible Library in 2017 was the other.

As long as you rhyme them with 'Dons' and not 'Stones' 😉

Ruth (tilltab) Ashworth | 2218 comments I pronounce it sc 1s (I don't, but now I kinda want to)

WARNING FOR AUDIOBOOK LISTENERS: if your copy has over 7 hours, there is a short story at the end! Don't do what I did and stop, thinking you have about an hour left in the story to enjoy later, when actually all you have left of the main story is the 5 minute epilogue. >.<

Other that that (probably my fault for not checking) I totally agree with all the others that the audio book is the way to go with this one - the narration is excellent and definitely adds to the enjoyment.

Colin Forbes (colinforbes) | 534 comments I did wonder why the “End Credits” segment on my Audible edition needed to be 57 minutes long.

Makes a bit more sense now.

Melinda | 5 comments This book is the hug you’ve been searching for, or maybe, didn’t even know you needed right now.

Chris K. | 414 comments My print copy also includes the prequel short story.

I kinda want to go back and get the audiobook version now 🤔 I just got the eBook.

scwuns. I like it 😉

I'm using that next time I hear someone say 'sc-owns'

Trike | 11190 comments Just call ‘em donuts and be done with it.

John (Taloni) Taloni (johntaloni) | 5193 comments Scones are good! Goody goody yum yum...

doughnuts 😜

BTW the most overrated and ruined dessert treat.

Doughnuts are only nice straight out of the oven, with a light sprinkling of cinnamon and sugar.

Those cold ones covered in all manner of sweet shit, like chocolate/icing/sprinkles etc are horrible 🤔

Scones and doughnuts would be a perfect accompaniment while reading Legends & Lattes. 😎

Ruth (tilltab) Ashworth | 2218 comments My favourite doughnuts are the jam filled ones - I like to pop them in the microwave for about 30 seconds so that the jam goes a little melty.

Tamahome | 7215 comments Toe beans, because it's cozy.

Apple spice = A+++

Worth the diabetes.

John (Taloni) Taloni (johntaloni) | 5193 comments Clearly the upcoming prequel book should be called The Scone Wars.
