Years down the road, Carrie is in the celebrity advertising business with her husband Tony. Quite the workaholic, she’s made a name for herself in the industry. Your thoughts on this couple’s relationship, including Tony’s insistence that she take time off for a vacation at Utopia Spa in Colorado? What was your gut feeling about Tony? Any alarm bells about him at this time?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I thought he was getting short shift in this marriage and that Carrie wasn't treating him fairly. Maybe it was over for her, but she was a very demanding partner. I thought Carrie really did need the time at the spa. I didn't have any alarm bells at the time, except I did wonder why he put up with Carrie.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments At first my gut feeling about Tony was that he was bad news. Carrie believed he was having an affair and was just going through the motions of going to counseling because of their pre-nup.

Then we learned that Avery thought very highly of her uncle and Carrie had a big of diva in her. At that point I thought Carrie had imagined the whole affair and Tony really was concerned about his wife.

I was actually shocked when it became clear that Tony was helping Jill get rid of Carrie and Avery.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I knew Tony was up to no good. I thought that he was going to steal the company and her money while she was at the spa. He was too pushy about her going. I expected her to come home to an empty house, and that her stock holders or clients, voted her out.

His relationship with Jilly threw me for a loop. What a jerk!

I thought Tony was a good actor and played the part of the loving husband when Avery was around. He was way too sneaky to me.

I agree, Sharon. I thought he was trying to steal the company and then give her the boot. I was shocked when it was revealed that he was just another man manipulated by Jilly.

Jessica | 156 comments I was tricked by the author. I thought Tony was bad when I first met him, then good after I learned Avery's assessment of him. I never suspected him.

Me too, Jessica.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I thought Tony was a good guy who wanted to save his marriage in the beginning. I admit, I was snowed. I didn't see him with Jilly until to very end.
