Paranormal Romance & Urban Fantasy discussion

I'm looking for romance books where the hero believes he is human but turns out to be something else (e.g., shifter, vampire, fae). Also, the heroine is non-human and her love for the hero is forbidden because her kind believes he is human. Does this setup ring any bells for anyone?

Doesn't match 100%, but (view spoiler)[Silver Under Nightfall by Rin Chupeco (hide spoiler)] This is MMF and there's a bit of a mystery about MC1's potential connection to vampires, who he hates because he's dedicated his whole life to being a vampire hunter. He meets a vampire couple who wants to help humans, and struggles to cope with that as he becomes attracted to both of them. 😂

All written in the human's POV, and book two comes out later this year. Very Castlevania-inspired!

Dark Cravings

The actually discovery is in the second book Dark Secrets but it does hint around the subject in the first book. Though be aware, it is off the charts on the hot and sizzling side of erotica so I’m not sure if this was in your book. The human in question is a demon and the heroine is a weird vampire that has a heart beat. So it’s slightly off what you described. Still worth a shot to check if it’s the book you’re looking for.
