- OKAY. I just saw your private message, I will first us off. Take your time love.
Wyatt walked the castle halls the words of the king playing in his head. You have shown you're loyalty countless times over the years.. There is no one else I trust to watch over my daughter.. An evil smirk came across his face as he walked the halls, he had finally made it inside the castle, and not only that but he had just became the princesses personal knight. A position that so any knight have only dreamed of. Wyatt sighed as he looked at every picture that hanged on the walls, every cement brick that looked out of place.. He did this until he made it to the princesses room, he rolled his eyes at the fact that he had to fake once again. But he knew he was close to being done with this whole mission. All he had to do was kidnap the princess, that shouldn't be so hard. Right? He knocked on the huge wooden doors and took a step back, he placed his arms behind his back as he waited for her to answer.

- sorry for the hold-up. I lost the signal but I should be online more often now.
As the princess walked past the open windows in the hallway, she couldn’t help but just glare out them. The sun was shining a bit brightly today for Lucinda’s liking. After receiving the news from her parents of her assigned personal guard, the last thing she wanted was for the sun to shine so damn much like it had no care in the world. Because it should care. It should care about how unfairly her parents treated her. It should care that she was the only one assigned a knight from her siblings like she was a child. To them, it didn’t matter what she wanted or thought. Because it should matter. She knew she was being foolish thinking like this, but she just couldn’t help it. She was angry, annoyed, and hurt. It was enough to make her want to walk out of her father's study screaming.
After stomping her way through the hallways- though not really because she didn’t want to be seen acting so childish- Lucinda lead herself to her chamber where she was left alone to think in her privacy. She stood in her room, light falling in from the open window. Stupid sun, she thought one last time about the star then turned around from the light. She needed to calm down. Lucinda took a deep breath. She walked over to the corner of her room, where her canvas was propped up and her paint brushes organized, all dirty, and randomly placed in cups. She felt like painting at that moment. She usually resorted to painting to calm her nerves, watching the fluidity of the watercolors and imagining herself to be just like it, flowing and careless to what is being forced upon her.
Her thoughts were interrupted when there was a knock on the door. She wondered who it could be. Turning away from her art supplies, Lucinda straightened herself, brushing the few strands that escaped her braid out of her face and smoothing her green gown. “Enter” she spoke in a voice that didn’t portray how she was feeling and instead switched to her mature and adult-like facade.

- It is fine love, I had picked up extra shifts. So I am sorry for the wait as well.
Wyatt heard the princess's voice come from behind the doors, and a small smirk appeared on his face. He sighed as he walked up to the door and put his hand on the doorknob. At that moment the smirk disappeared as quickly as it appeared. "Madam.." his tone came off kind but stern as well. He walked into the room, his eyes searched the room looking for the princess. Until they locked onto her, he then gave a bow. "My name is Wyatt I am you're personal guard," he said as his head was facing the marble floor. Wyatt hardly ever saw the princess since he had been in the kingdom but he had heard about her looks from the other guards. And even though she was his enemy, he could see what the others were talking about. She- she was gorgeous. No- gorgeous wasn't the right word... What the hell are you doing?.. Cut it out. he thought. He sighed and stood straight back up, he had that type of facial expression that made it hard to know what he was thinking. Which was to be expected from a knight. "I wanted to personally introduce myself." he added.

- you’re good :)
When the door opened, Lucinda didn’t except to find her personal guard to walk through it. He’s already here? Her gaze narrowed on him as he approached, unable to keep the anger she had felt early from building back up. Despite his well manners and presentable appearance, she couldn’t help but feel some sort of hatred towards him. Who does he think he is? Coming here to introduce himself as if I should be happy with the news. Lucinda clenched her jaw to keep herself from saying anything she would regret. She had to remind herself to hide her emotions and not act foolish in front of him. After all, in the end, he wasn’t the one to blame. Instead, she gave a small nod of her head to great him, playing the well behaved princess she was meant to be. “Sir Wyatt, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” She offered a smile, but her fuming thoughts probably made it hard to make it believable. “Though you won’t have much trouble with that position. My fathers worry for me is unnecessary. You may roam as you please, and shall I need you I will send for you.” It was probably an unrealistic request of her, and one that her father would get anger about, but she was serious and wished for him to follow her orders.

Wyatt raised his body from his bowing position, he kept his hands behind his back as he listed to the princess. It was easy for him to be able to tell that she didn't really mean what she was saying. She wasn't happy to meet him, he was sure her little act would have worked on the other guards but with him. It was child's play. The first and honest thing she said was when she gave him the promotion to roam unless she called for him. He sighed and shook his head. "I am sorry my lady but, your father as already given me orders to stay by your side." he said as he kept his eyes locked onto her. He knew she wasn't going to like what he had to say, and if it wasn't for this mission he wouldn't like the fact that he had to follow her around either.

- sorry for my disappearance. I didn’t have access to good wifi/signal. Back in New York so I can be active now.
Lucinda found herself biting the inside of her cheek ever so slightly. Maybe it was a way to keep herself from saying something she would regret without thinking it through. Or maybe it was just an anxious habit that she developed when stressed or overthinking. Whatever the reason, she found herself doing it more often than she would like, and it was because of phrases like the one she heard. "My father, " she repeats, holding back the annoyances as she spoke of him, "is foolish to think I need to have a babysitter."
It wasn't a wise thing to say, especially on their first interaction, but she couldn't help it. She just turned around from the guard and walked over to her dresser. She mindlessly rummaged through her stuff, not looking for anything in particular but wanting to distract her hands and mind for a second. She opened drawers and brushed her fingers over random objects. "But if you must," she started, letting the coolness of her jewels focus her for a moment. "You may stand outside of my chamber. Surely that should please our King." She kept her back to him, her hands moving from her jewelry to a different cabinet with her silk scarves, now distracting herself with that as if she had something to do so she didn't have to look at him.

- OMG I’m not gonna lie I thought I recognized your new account and I even checked this rp and wondered if it was you but I was too shy to ask lol. I’m glad you asked because I would love to continue!

He stayed looking forward until she ordered him to go outside of her room. He sighed but he could do that, he had to earn her trust. He had to play like he was on her side, he had to remember that. Wyatt sighed and nodded. "I can do that for you princess." he said with a slight bow before he turned his back and made his way out the door. He didn't look back, he just opened the door and closed it gently behind himself. He sighed hard once he was alone, he stepped to the side of the door. He put his hands back behind his back.

- want to time a week or two? We can say they barely interacted and she doesn’t acknowledge him. He would just do his job like ordered and be near her? What should we time skip to them doing?

oh my god I thought I posted them already. So sorry it slipped my mind. I typed them in my notes and forgot to post them 😭
It's been almost a month since Lucinda has gained a new guard. 24 days to be exact. The princess has been counting the days in hopes that the next would be the last. But unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Still, Lucinda barely acknowledged Wyatt. Of course, he did his job by keeping close and watching her, better than she would like to admit. It was annoying though. She found it hard to do anything like before. Wondering off anywhere in the castle. Trying to meet up and have some privacy with anyone. But most importantly, she wasn't able to sneak out of the castle like she used to.
Sneaking out of the castle was a secret habit that she picked up on over the years, something only she and her handmaid knew about. But with Wyatt, it was impossible to even consider. Still, the town was having a festival, and she was tempted to take the risk to go have fun.
So with the help of her handmaid, she had her tell one of the other guards to request Wyatt's presence for any random reason after everyone went to sleep. So even though she told Wyatt that she was tired and was going to retire early today, she was already dressed and prepared to sneak out as soon as she realized he left.
Just like clockwork, a guard came down the hallway to look for the princess's guard. "Sir Wyatt, you're needed to report the General Jackson."
