Foreign languages challenge


Each year, my only real challenge concerns the number of books I will read in foreign languages (i.e. anything but French):


English: 10 books

I DNF’d de kabbalist by Geert Kimpen when I was about 200 pages in because I found it poorly written and amazingly tedious and I wasn’t ready to commit to the last 150 pages at the rhythm of 20 pages/hour.


German: this list is extremely ambitious. I haven’t read that much in German in six or seven years.

Thank you Ila. I read Siddhartha six or seven years ago and it left a huge mark on me. I've wanted to reread it for at least two years, but I haven't read much in German these last few years so I kept postponing it.
