The Wild Robot discussion

At first, the wild animals are terrified of Roz as she’s a huge and scary looking metal robot. But things begin to change when she adopts a newly hatched gosling (after she falls on his family and crushes them all to death), and learns to become a mother and friend.
This is an original, thought-provoking and heartwarming tale. The book is a meditation on what it is to be human and, at the same time, an incredibly fun adventure.
The illustrations are also enigmatic and beautiful.
