Former grant recipient Peter Morris becomes belligerent and vocal after being turned down for a second Hamilton Foundation grant by Regan, refusing to take No for an answer. As the story progresses and attempts on Regan’s life escalate, was Peter ever a suspect in your eyes? Why or why not? Did you believe him to be guilty after the evidence found hidden in his home led to his arrest?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Peter was a suspect for me, but not a really strong one. When his grant renewal was denied, he had a motive to harass Regan, but I didn't see that as a strong one for murder.

Like Alec, I thought the evidence was planted.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments He was on my suspect list. At first I thought he may be a red herring...someone for us to concentrate on while the real killer strikes again. But I really didn't have many valid suspects in this story at all.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I agree, there weren't many viable suspects in this book.

Jessica | 156 comments I didn't see Peter Morris as a suspect for the murders. I actually saw him as a person that could potentially be murdered because he was on Regan's "to-do" list which the murderer had in his possession.

I considered him a suspect at first, but the more the story progressed the less I suspected him. He was arrogant and disgusting, but not a murderer. I was glad to see him brought down though.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments He was a suspect for me. He stayed on my list longer than he should have, but I couldn't rule him out for a time. People do crazy things when they embezzle.

Xee (xeey) | 17 comments No. Too obvious for that. I didnt think the answer would have been that simple and if it had been I would have been very annoyed. the suspense has to suspense , ya know...
