Favorite Character: Peony or Kai, but I did not think Kai was developed enough as a main character. I also really liked the doctor. [@Lydia, I think he was the fairy godmother figure--what do you think??]

Least Favorite Character: Of the GOOD guys: Iko

I would change (view spoiler)[that last part of the ballroom scene where Cinder tries to save Kai from marrying Levana by throwing her arms around him and kissing him. I think I literally cringed. (hide spoiler)].

The ending was ok. I agree with Lydia!☝️

1. Who was your favorite character? Doctor What's-His-Name. I think he must have had a very hard life, hiding himself like that. I admire his self-control.

3. If you could change one part of the book, what would it be? I really don't know... Maybe (view spoiler)[change the ball scene to Cinder being able to have been dressed neatly? It's an iconic, magical scene, and all the mess-ups were pretty annoying. (hide spoiler)]

4. What did you think of the ending? I wasn't really wowed by it.

5. What was your overall opinion? I don't really know...didn't love it, didn't hate it. Won't reread it.

Glad I am not the only one who struggles to remember those details!

Dr. Erland is the doctor and the step-mom is Linh Adri!

1. Favorite character was Iko! Excited to see what Cinder does with her chip in Scqrlet.

2. Least favorite character was likely Adri. I felt she was very unfair and cruel to Cinder. Queen Levana was cruel to everyone. Adri was only cruel to Cinder.

3. I would change Kai’s reaction to finding out Cinder was a cyborg. He lost some points when he looked at her and reacted the way he did.

4. I liked the ending and am excited to see what happens in the 2nd book. I don’t know that I’ll enjoy the 2nd book being about other characters, not spoilers, this is simply on the back of book 2. But hopefully Cinder is still a very main character!

5. Overall opinion was this is very good book and I will read the series. Already ordered book 2. :)

Helena--totally agree with you about your comments on the ending! A bit overdramatic, imo.🙄

I misspoke🙄--I was referring to your comments on what you would change. (Ball scene)

Ohhh, yep. Also underwhelming.

2. Bad guy: Adri and Good guy: Iko

3. I wish we could see Kai develop more as a character. (Such as: who is his mother?) Also, I feel like the mc’s should’ve grieved more over their losses. (Trying no to spoil anything)

4. Kind of ended oddly. Definitely excited to read the next book

5. Live this book! Nice twist on the classic fairytale.
