Pam | 498 comments I have read this book a minimum of four times, and I'm pretty sure it's more like five, maybe even six times, and seven wouldn't surprise me. Not to mention seeing the movies all more than once, including a full binge about six months ago. But it holds up! The pacing is great, but there definitely comes a point of familiarity when you lose all objectivity.

Did I ever doubt Peeta's motives? Did I ever think he was actually with the career pack?? Was I ever not 1 billion% Team Peeta in the love triangle that launched a thousand love triangles???

He really is a great character. They all are. And the action is impeccably plotted. The only thing that ever bothers me about the "love triangle" is that Katniss never voices her very understandable internal struggles, but that is also very much in character for her. She struggles to voice all her complex thoughts. She is also clearly shown to be a true teenager under all her various competencies, with several immature moments only a 16-year-old could pull off.

Would you believe I genuinely thought I might not *immediately* read books two and three when I first picked this up for the re-read? HA!
