The Manga Squad discussion

The winner of our science fiction themed Manga of the Month is Kaiju No.8 by Naoya Matsumoto.

Kaiju No. 8 began it's run in 2020 and is currently up to volume 9. 5 volumes are available in the US but all of the current chapters are available on Shonen Jump online as well.

Too bad no responses here. I will mention I read volume 1 when it first came out and really enjoyed it. I definitely need to catch up and dive back in to this.

I need to try and read some of this! I have it saved on Shonen Jumo but have been behind on mangas there!

Currently on volume 7 (almost done) and I’m really digging this manga. I look forward to the anime :) I love that the MC is in his early 30s (like me!) so it’s very refreshing not seeing a 15 year old LOL

I’ve read volume 1-8 and it’s my favourite manga!! Enjoyed every volume :) the storyline is amazing and I just want to keep reading more every time. The art style is also very cool and not boring at all! Can’t wait till the anime drops this year

I previously read volumes 1-3. In the last few days I binge read volumes 4-9. This is SOOOOO GOOD! It just keeps getting better and better. My fav character is probably Gen Narumi, he's awesome.
