Not so much a whodunnit as a who did it to him and why.
I thought there were vague hints of Orphan X at times but it really stood on its own feet.
It wasn’t until closer to the end that it was clearer that this was set after the author’s death - the throwaway line about a possible constitutional crisis if the royal twins due to be born turned out to be boys was a good one.
A rare 4 stars from me.
