Play Book Tag discussion

So, we've read "friendship" as the tag four times over the years (including over at shelfari):

In April 2009, we read 186 titles
May 2013 was 99
September 2018 was 121

And last month, we read 154 individual titles.

The total number of threads posted was 175, but of course, one was the announcement thread. I did notice one (there may have been more) that was duplicated twice (likely due to the recent GR error). So, that number may be a bit higher than it should be.

Anyway, also because we have read friendship before here on GR, there is already a shelf for friendship. In order to keep last month's stats separate, I also included a shelf I called zfriendship. Really, just for the stats. I will link to that here, but I will also likely delete that shelf after a bit (likely next month when I do the shelving for May).

(I added last month's books to both shelves, so when I delete zfriendship, they are still recorded in our overall frienship shelf.)

I love that you do this, Cin. I use these lists sometimes when I'm looking for a book. And I'm a nerd about PBT history.

When I add my own books to a shelf for a month's tag, I always add it to the existing shelf if it's a repeat tag. Does this make your job more difficult?

I find stats so interesting, so it's just as interesting to me! I figured if I'm looking it up and figuring it out, I might as well share with everyone else for the others who are also interested!

No, this still helps, so thank you! Not as much as when it's a completely new tag, but it does still help.

Because I end up adding to both the original one that was used before and the z tag I've added; it's still one less "step" for me, so it is helpful.

Fascinating!! I feel like we are reading more with fewer active participants. Crazy . . .
