Since we've created a thread like this every year since 2018, I thought we might as well continue the tradition this year! (In the BU context, "summer" pretty much means the summer break, so from May 6 until mid-to-late August.)
As usual, my reading plans are somewhat uncertain, because I may be taking part in common reads in other groups in June, July and August, and I don't know for certain what books will be selected. I might or might not read a couple of new books by two of my Goodreads author friends, but that will depend on the publication dates. How soon we get our computer access back up and running, so that ILL requests can be placed, will also be a factor.
All of that said, tomorrow I'm planning to start reading Paradise Lost by John Milton. I started reading a few of his poems as a kid (on my own, not for school) in an anthology; when I finish this next read, I'll have read his entire poetic corpus, which has been a nearly lifelong project. And when Barb and I finish our current read of Avenging Angels: Sinners' Gold, we'll be continuing our exploration of Heather Day Gilbert's Barks and Beans cozy mystery series, with the second and third installments.
