Kolai | 39 comments Hey everyone! I need help, I’m stuck in a reading slump, and it sucks. Does anyone have a good book recommendation for this? Or any tips or tricks? I’ll try anything :)

What I usually do is find a book that's short (and I find it's better if it's a reread) so that i know I only have a certain amount of pages and it's probably fast paced because it's small, that way it grasps you asap not leaving you searching for storyline or empathy for characters. My favourite small books are before the coffee gets cold, indigo eyes and ways to live forever :) They're all quite sad haha but hopefully there's a short favourite book of yours that comes to mind! I also heard something about right playlist mood before starting and that's supposed to help

Reading on Wheels | 12 comments I agree with Drew. Mostly, when I'm in a slump I grab an easy book like a contemporary romance with no stakes. Something I can get invested in but I won't think about it so much it scares me out of it. I wish you luck 🫡

Molly Obergefell | 1 comments Definitely late to this, but I agree with all the above advice. I really didn’t read much at all for fun during college, and now that I’m done I’m trying to start reading a lot again. The first book I read to get me out of that slump was She Gets the Girl by Rachael Lippincott and Alyson Derrick. I went from taking 3 years to read Little Women to 4 days to read this. 😂
