The Daughter of Time, by Josephine Tey
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, by Mark Twain

News from Nowhere for a while now, so I will nominate that for Sci Fi & Fantasy.
For Crime, there are a few that I would like to read:
No Orchids for Miss Blandish, which I already own, or if I can get them from the library
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
Black Sunday
If you want only one nomination. I guess that I'd pick the one I own, No Orchids for Miss Blandish, but I suspect that the other 2 will have more popular appeal.
Dennis, both your choices are great!

PDo Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (Bladerunner) by Philip K Dick

Crime: The Crime of Father Amaro by Eça de Queirós
SciFi: The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke
I don't have a nomination for Crime.
