Police believe a bomber known as “The Florist” made the bombs. Later in the story, he calls Kate to warn her there’s a third bomb out there saying he never meant for anyone to get hurt. Share your thoughts on The Florist and his strange conversation with Kate. Was he believable? Kate later places her life in his hands. Was Kate right to trust him? Why or why not?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I liked him! He truly didn't want his bombs to hurt anyone. He was a believable as a guy who likes to make things go boom can be. Kate's only choice was to leave Ewan or trust The Florist. Her moral compass made to only decision she could live with.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments The Florist sold his bombs to another person. What did he think they were going to do with them? Blow up deserted building?

I can see this guy calling Kate to warn her if he really didn't want anyone to get hurt. And, I understand her talking to him and following his directions to dismantle the bomb. What other choice did she have?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments The Florist said he never gave his bomb to other people. A large sum of money was his motivation. I suspect they told him it was an insurance scam or something like that.

I like that he called Kate to warn her. She had no choice but to trust him when they threw Ewan in the room with her. She couldn't get him out, and her conscience wouldn't allow him to get blown up if she escaped.
