The prologue details Evan’s first Orphan mission in 1997, in Ukraine, that is now apparently something that the President of the United States feels leaves him vulnerable. Could you get a sense of what that might have been?

I wasn't sure exactly what the President wanted to make sure never came to light. But he was willing to knock off all of the orphans to make sure the secret never came out.

I couldn’t figure out anything from that prologue but at least I was glad to have the mission detailed for later.

I didn't know what the President needed to protect. At first I thought Evan was thinking back to his beginning. By the end of the prologue I knew it was important, but I didn't see it.
