Indeed. There's a bit of that going around.

Graeme Rodaughan | 1264 comments There's an event in this book where Harry could have used a bubble-head charm as per book 4 to effect....

Denis (deez_bookish_adventures) (denis_lamontagne) | 195 comments I just finished up.....An awesome end to an epic story! Again, not that I wasn't familiar with the story from the movies - but reading the series was amazing! for me, every book was a 5 Star read.

Graeme Rodaughan | 1264 comments Glad you enjoyed it Denis.

I'm over half-way and Harry is obsessing about (view spoiler)

A really great point.

Graeme Rodaughan | 1264 comments Thinking about this ....

Options

Ablative Armor: "Accio 'Flock of pigeons,'" who then fly in formation with you to soak up the attacks...

I might belong to Slytherin...

Narilka | 120 comments I'm half way through Ch 12 (view spoiler)

Graeme Rodaughan | 1264 comments Narilka wrote: "haha probably! Is what you get for spending too much time with vampires ;)"

Indeed. Very nefarious imaginings... 😁

Graeme Rodaughan | 1264 comments I loved what happened to Kreacher too.

Narilka | 120 comments Through Ch 18 (view spoiler)

Graeme Rodaughan | 1264 comments Indeed, bleak.

I enjoyed this book more this time around (upped it a star) as I seemed to 'get,' more of it.

Narilka | 120 comments Through Ch 25. Stuff is starting to happen. (view spoiler)

Graeme Rodaughan | 1264 comments Awesome, Narilka. Glad you're enjoying the story.

Yeah, Hedwig made the ultimate sacrifice to save Harry, and I never really picked up on that from the movie. But it was pretty obvious in the book even though they don't dwell on it.

I'm glad you enjoyed the series even more this time, Graeme! It makes me look forward to a 2nd reading down the road. :)

[I wish that Rowling had planted the idea for the Hallows a couple books back, like she did the Horcrux, to let the idea build. I love how Neville has grown! Talk about completely different from the small, shy boy in year 1...."

I agree with both points! If they had mentioned them earlier in the series it might have given the readers something to keep wondering about throughout the series.
I kind of feel like the symbol was slipped in a couple times but never talked about until the final book, but that could just be wishful thinking.

And I completely agree about Neville. He turned out to be not just a great character but vital to the outcome of the story!
I am sad it is over.
