Evan’s first mission was an unsanctioned political assassination of someone who was prepared to kill Serbian President Milošević. Allowing him to live opened the door to the later atrocities and war. Your thoughts about how the author used an historical event to tie to Bennett? Was it indeed an act of treason?

I liked that the author used actual historical figures in the story. It made the story feel real.

I don't know much about this stuff, but I'd assume any unsanctioned political assassination is considered illegal.
