When it comes to golf I feel like Mark Twain as he said "Golf is a good walk spoiled." but then I started wondering if that was just because I didn't understand all the terms and details in golf so for people out there like me this challenge will let you learn a bit about golf.

TASKS
1. Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Golf, unlike most ball games, cannot and does not use a standardized playing area, and coping with the varied terrains encountered on different courses is a key part of the game

2. Courses typically have either 18 or 9 holes, regions of terrain that each contain a cup, the hole that receives the ball. Each hole on a course contains a teeing ground to start from, and a putting green containing the cup. There are several standard forms of terrain between the tee and the green, such as the fairway, rough (tall grass), and various hazards such as water, rocks, or sand-filled bunkers. Each hole on a course is unique in its specific layout.

3. In golf, a "Stroke" is any forward club swing, including when putting, that a golfer is trying to hit the ball. A drive is a type of shot and describes the first shot taken from the tee box for each hole on the golf course.

4. Par is the number of strokes that an expert or "scratch golfer" is expected to need to complete a hole. Under Par - The term "under par" describes a player's score when they've taken fewer strokes than par up to a given point on the golf course. Over Par describes a player's score relative to par when they've taken more strokes than par. Even - "("E") can be used to describe a golfer's score when it is equal to the combined par of all holes that they've completed.

5. If you get a birdie in golf you have scored one less stroke than par on an individual golf hole. If you score an Eagle then you are two strokes under par on a hole. Albatross / Double Eagle is three strokes under par and a Condor is four strokes under par.

6. Some more scoring. An Ace also called Hole-in-One which is getting the ball in the hole (cup) in only one stroke. A Bogey is
one stroke over par on an individual hole and a Double Bogey is
two strokes over par on an individual hole. You can also get a triple and quadruple bogey.

7. Now if you are going to go play golf you need to make sure you understand some golf terms. A caddie is the person who carries your clubs around for you. Your handicap refers to a number given to players that determines their “potential” average score in relation to par.

8. The Tee Box is designated area that marks the beginning of each hole (It’s where you tee off from). The Fairway is the stretch of shorter grass that directs you to the hole (it’s where you want to be), the Green is the area of finely trimmed grass at the end of each hole (it’s where you want to end up) and the Rough is the areas of longer grass that line the fairway (it’s where you don’t want to be).

9. Now if you are in a bunker you are in a sand trap, If you make a bad shot you yell (hopefully loudly) FORE to alert the golfers in the area where their ball is headed. Generally translated as “duck and cover.” When your ball is lie it means the ball has come to rest on the ground. The ball may on a “good lie” in short grass on the fairway or a “bad lie” in deep grass in the rough. You may have a sidehill lie, where the ball is either above or below your feet.

10. Now you know how to play where should you play. These are the top 3 golf courses in the world. One is Cypress Point in Del Monte Forest California, two is Pine Valley in Pine Valley New Jersey, and three is Royal County Down in Newcastle Northern Ireland. I was surprised I thought some of the tops one would be in Scotland.
