what is a buddy read?

a buddy read is where you get to read a book together with your 'buddy'. you can both decide on how many chapters you'll read each week, and go at the same pace, or you can both read at your own paces and discuss after you've read the same parts; it's all up to the two of you, really.

you're also free to start a group read, which is a buddy read with more than two members.

you have two choices to choose from:

1. you're free to ask a moderator to make your topic for you

2. or you can also make it yourself!

here are the rules for creating your buddy read topic:

1. the topic must first contain the name of the book
if the name of the book exceeds 5 words, then please shorten it to 2 words. example: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time can be shortened to Curious Incident, or Curious Dog.

2. the topic must then contain both you and your partner's name

3. the topic must be placed in the Buddy Reads folder, nowhere else

4. the description of the topic must contain a "spoiler warning"

5. follow the rules of the group
