Vicky | 37 comments This novel provides glimpses of the character Jacob Flanders through the eyes of the novels
characters. Through these brief encounters, the reader is also able to form an impression of Jacob. It would seem to me that each reader might get a somewhat different idea of who Jacob is. I really think that this novel shows the genius of Virginia Woolf.

Elizabeth Raymond | 4 comments Lol I had a lot of thoughts on this one. I appreciate being part of this group so much, I think there are few other circumstances in which I would have finished this book.
Sometimes I get fired up when I have an opinion - I had a couple hot takes loll.

Dee Eliza Pea (deeelizabeth) | 5 comments I read this and relatively contemporaneous to the group read! You can find my review on my page, but I honestly can I say I don't know that I would have picked this one up but for this group and I am very happy I did. For such a slight text, this wasn't the easiest to read. But it really does show the genius of Woolf. How she is able to create this portrait of Jacob through the impressions of others.
