Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I liked the book. It really was great to see Jordan get outside her comfort zone and that she made friends so easily.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree Anita. I liked seeing Jordan outside her comfort zone. I also liked how Noah becomes a real person to her. They are a good couple.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Jordan has watched Noah operate for years and I just bet she wondered "what if" and that is why she took advantage of this out of her comfort zone trip to find out.

Jessica | 156 comments I actually thought that Noah remained a mystery through this book. He never really opens up to Jordan. I know no more about him now than I did going into this book.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I liked the mystery in this book and thought parts of it was humorous. I liked both Noah and Jordan, but there was something missing from their romance. I just can't put my finger on it.

Jessica, you're right in that we didn't learn anything about Noah that we didn't know previously.

I thought it was strange that the Buchanan family wasn't asking Jordan a lot of questions about Noah. I'm sure she was acting differently when she came back from Texas. Then when she is shot, he stays by her side. They even told him to go into her room first. You could tell they knew what was going on, but they never mentioned it to her or him.

I loved the last few paragraphs when Noah is waiting for an answer from Jordan on his proposal and she says something to the effect of "Noah, you know you'll have to stop dating other women if we get married." LOL

I loved the humor in this book. I love the way Garwood used small town people with all their gossip as snips of humorous dialogue. And the way she used the locals to draw Jordan out of her shell - things like Jordan going to the baby shower, coffee shop, etc. and making friends. Falling into using the greeting "Hey" which Noah asks her about and she says "I'm blending in." Lots of humor here to offset the serious.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments One thing I love about all Garwood's books is her gentle humor. It is just so real and so needed in a mystery plot. I will truly miss her writing.

Jessica | 156 comments Yes, I love her humor as well. There aren't enough romance authors that do that.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I liked the humor too. It was laugh out loud, but puts a smile on the readers' face.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments So true, Jessica. So many Romantic-Suspense writers are so serious with the angst factor off the charts that I just want to scream at the book "Lighten up!"
