This is a fun and active group. We try not to have too many rules, as these challenges are meant to be for YOUR enjoyment. A few things that may be of help follow.
Navigating the site:
You are encouraged to post an Introduction so we know who you are. You'll find that thread HERE.
A good basic how-to guide on adding books to your posts and a summary of HTML codes that are very helpful can be found HERE.
One HTML function you are likely to need to know how to use is a spoiler. By inserting a spoiler before text, you can "hide" it from being seen by anyone who doesn't want to know that information yet (as in a book review that may give away the plot). See message 2 in the HTML practice area above - and don't be afraid to ask if you need help. (view spoiler)[This is what a spoiler does when it's used... (hide spoiler)]
We don't have a minimum page number for a book to count but watch individual challenges, as they may be stated as part of a particular challenge's rules.
When completing spell outs, many of our challenges direct you to skip a starting A, An or The in a book title. Others allow you to use the A or T - so be sure to check each challenge's rules.
We have many kinds of challenges in this group, both individual and team. We send out a monthly newsletter to announce upcoming challenges. You can find those HERE.
If you plan to participate in a team challenge it is important to check in with your team regularly. Inactive team members cause distress for everyone - so if you're having a problem be sure to let the team captain know. Team challenges often have back-up players available to take over if life gets in the way and you are unable to continue a team challenge.
Also note that there are many Archive folders towards the bottom of our Home Page. Older challenges are sometimes moved to an archive folder but you can still access your thread if it has been archived. Only threads that have been locked are no longer available to have new posts added to them. Moving a folder to an archive location does NOT mean it is locked!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
