1. This book edition is currently labeled as “Unknown Binding”, which is incorrect, and seems to happen frequently with ebooks editions, for some reason. This ISBN is most definitely for the ebook format (EPUB ebook, not PDF). If you click the link below, it will direct to the publisher webpage for this title (with a drop-down menu for ebook, LP, and hardbound).

2. The record title (on GoodReads) has problems as well. It is incomplete and not punctuated correctly. It should be: “The Private Lives of Spies and The Exquisite Art of Getting Even: Stories of Espionage and Revenge”, I defer to the expertise of GR Wordsmith Elizabeth as to whether ther should be a semicolon after the first (sub)title, before the word “and”. I merely wish to point out that the edition is a compilation of two separate, previously published works by Alexander McCall Smith; the word “and” merely conjoins the two separate titles. The second title is then followed by a colon and summarization of what each is about: “Stories of Espionage and Revenge”.
