Ron I can't believe I'm doing this, but it is my goal to read every single book of Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series. I've had the books on my shelf for over a year, but always find it so daunting because I've never read a series that is over a total of 4. Since The Wheel of Time has 15 books, that has always intimidated me, but I am determined to do it.

I plan to start with book 1. I want to start with the prequel, New Spring, but I'm told that just ruins things and it's best to start with book 1 instead.

I do want to read other classics as well, but for now I'll start with The WoT series:

1. The Eye of the World
2. The Great Hunt
3. The Dragon Reborn
4. The Shadow Rising
5. The Fires of Heaven

6. Lord of Chaos
7. A Crown of Swords
8. The Path of Daggers
9. Winter's Heart
10. Crossroads of Twilight

11. Knife of Dreams
12. The Gathering Storm
13. Towers of Midnight
14. A Memory of Light
15. New Spring

Ron The next set of classics I plan to read either after The Wheel of Time or somewhere in between are the Lord of the Rings books. I haven't had time to start 'The Hobbit' like I had hoped, so it's going on a future TBR for now as well as the rest of them.

LOTR:

1. The Hobbit
2. The Fellowship of the Ring
3. The Two Towers
4. The Return of the King

Darren (dazburns) | 2146 comments what will you do if you really dislike book 1?

Julie | 606 comments I hope you enjoy your challenge - I'm working my way through the Discworld-series by Terry Pratchett, and have been for a couple of years - but I'm reading loads of other stuff along the way :-)
