Ben and his stepfather have a vicious fight after he discovers the letter regarding Dan. Where was his mother and why would she leave him with someone who would abuse her son? What did this scene tell you about both Ivette and Greg?

That's a question I asked continually throughout the book. It ended up that Ivette wasn't much better than Greg and was stealing form her care clients.
