When Izzy was in Germany, he meets a nurse, Cynthia, in a bar and goes back to her place. In the end, he couldn’t sleep with her. Was he being more considerate of her feelings (not wanting to be a one-night stand), violate his vows to Eden or a combination of both? Was he true to your sense of his character or were you surprised?

I don't think the being a one-night stand thing was the issue. That was pretty much a given when he went there. Violating his vows was a bigger reason. I think he just loved Eden and even though it looked hopeless he couldn't let her go. He was true to what I thought of his character.
