During a HAHO (high altitude, high opening) training jump, Tony Vlachic suffers hypoxia and if he doesn’t cut away from the jump he will die. Izzy takes immediate action with a risky move to try and save him. Was he acting rashly (being Izzy) or was this part of his skill and training?

Both. Izzy has already proven that he is a hero, and he proves it again.

Izzy will do anything and everything he can to help a team member. It's partly training, and partly just what makes Izzy special.
