Bobby Rose is a big time thief hunted by the FBI, IRS and CIA. Locals cheer him on as a modern day Robin Hood. What were your first thoughts on Bobby Rose? Thief or Good Samaritan? Did your opinion change as the story progressed?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments At first, I pictured him as a Mafia kind of guy. As the story progressed, I thought better of him. I guess Robin Hood is as good a description of him as any other.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Same here, Charlene. When I started reading the book, I thought he was a wanted criminal. But, we learned that they just wanted to question him about various incidents and didn't really have any proof that he had done anything wrong.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I loved Bobby Rose! He was a good Sarmaritian to me. He only conned, swindled people who had gotten their money in less than ethical methods and he used those very methods to divest them of said money.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I'm not sure how to classify him. His heart is in the right place but he does get revenge illegally. It is interesting that he started as a lawyer. My guess is he couldn't get justice in the courts.

Jessica | 156 comments I thought Bobby Rose was the most interesting character in the book and we didn't even get to meet him in person until the end. I was actually hoping that he would play a bigger role in the ending.

Jessica, I think he is interesting too. He isn't front and center to protect his daughter and to avoid prison. It made sense to me.
