CPL: Online Book Club discussion

We are three weeks into July. Are you enjoying the book? Have you read Verne before? Is it what you expected?

I've been reading it periodically between binge reading Donna Andrews' mysteries. I am enjoying it, although I was disappointed that there was no description of the tip from London to the Suez. Watching what happens from then on is quite interesting (at the moment the intrepid travelers are traveling by elephant.

Having read this, would you be more or less likely to want to read more books by Verne.
