Welcome to August 2023

If you wish to have a buddy choose a book from your SBC bookshelf, please comment below with the amount of books you wish to have picked out for you.

I will pair you with your Buddy using Random.org on August 3rd if enough have signed up by then.

Rules-ish:

You will need to create a bookshelf marked Stitcher’s bookclub TBR or SBC TBR on Goodreads. Put books on it that you can read in August 2023.

Sign me up for 1 book this month too! I've always wanted to know if you guys love looking at a long SBC when choosing a buddy pick, or a short one. I love browsing a long list with plenty of choices.

Thank goodness I’m retired, because I would have had to call in sick to work - I could not put this book down! It was so good and I finished tonight! Thanks Tracey!

I do think you’d like it! It’s historical fiction, and so interesting. A tear jerker though, just a warning! Hands down one of my favorite books ever.

Right, so I finished reading February’s buddy pick, (The Murder of Harriet Monckton) and tonight I started reading this month’s pick. So happy to be back on track 😊

So…. I’m 50 pages in and not enjoying this at all. Sharon, do you want to choose another one for me instead?

I’ve started reading my second buddy pick for the month and I’m absolutely loving it so far!

I’m still reading my second buddy pick for August, but if I don’t finish it by the end of the month, it’ll only be a day or two afterwards. Can we sign up for September soon?
