Great American Read List discussion

The series for August 2023 is "The Hunger Games Trilogy" by Suzanne Collins.

There are three books in this series:
1. The Hunger Games
2. Catching Fire
3. Mockingjay

The series in #40 on the GAR list and has an avg GR rating of 4.22

Technically, there are four books in the series. A “prequel,” The Ballad of Snakes and Songbirds released in 2020. It’s the only one I have not yet read.

My husband has watched the movies. I don't think I have the stomach for them, but I guess I will have to read one someday if I want to complete this challenge. My personal rules are I check the book off if I have read the first book in the series. If I like it, I may read more. Sorry I haven't caught up with your schedule.

Oh don't worry about the schedule, I'm way behind, and like you I'm only reading the first in the series to see how I like it. As for Hunger Games, I read the books and liked them, I saw the first two movies and they were okay but got a little strange.
