Mistborn
question
Brandon Sanderson - where to start?

Hey all, I am looking to expand my fantasy reading and was wondering where to start with Brandon Sanderson. I have seen a lot of his books floating around and I think I would enjoy them but I know there is a reading order. Any suggestions welcome or if you can think of any standalones he's done or other fantasy series, bring them on.

I read Mistborn, it was a really good read. I don’t generally read fantasy. Only book of his I have read.
I started with first Mistborn trilogy. I think many of us started with this
I started with The Way of Kings. I enjoyed it more than I did the first Mistborn book.
Thank you for your input, gives me a few places to start and see where we go.
Mistborn is a great place to start with Brandon Sanderson. I would also recommend Elantris or The Rithmatist if you want standalone books (Though The Ritmatist might eventually -fingers crossed- receive a sequel). I also heard that The Way of Kings was really good as well (though I haven't read it so don't take my word for it). He's also written Steelheart and Skyward. I haven't read Steelheart but my friend is currently reading and enjoying it. And even though a lot of his books are technically set in the same universe, there's no reading order (that I know of) for each series and/or individual book (unless they are part of a series or the second series to a specific series). He also has "secret projects" that I haven't yet read, but I believe they are all standalone books as well.
i started with Warbreaker. I think it's a really good intro into his writing style, and it has the benefit of being only one book, so it's not a big commitment
