The Hand on the Wall question

That one cook book author told Stevie, that Francis had a daughter in Paris in 1940. She promised more information, because she had been in contact with Francis' family, but never got back to Stevie. Earlier, Stevie read that Edward was ALSO in Paris during that time, but she never considered the possibility that the two of them were maybe together again. Also there were no mentions of Francis after 1940 and considering what happened to Edward in that same year, I'm just very curious what happened to her.

(Granted, I've only read the first three books, so maybe there's more information in the other books?)
