It's a new month! What books are you prioritizing this month / are on your TBR for the next few weeks?

Jeni Huber | 78 comments The White Road by Sarah Lotz, The Next to Die by Sophie Hannah, The Clearing by Simon Toyne, and The Puzzle of Blackstone Lodge by Martin Edwards. The White Road is for the Summer Reading Challenge; the rest are just next in my queue because I've had them checked out for a while.

Kim Hampton | 266 comments I'm trying to finish the last few prompts I have left. I just checked out some books from the library to help me fill them.

Beth | 211 comments Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience and Redemption by Hillenbrand; When the Bough Breaks by Kellerman; Words of Radiance by Sanderson; The Poisoner's Ring by Armstrong; Mountainside Murder by Helm; The Burning White by Weeks ... Trying to work on the summer challenge as well as the regular challenge.

message 8: by Kathi (new)

Kathi | 177 comments I need to finish The Wild Irish by Robin Maxwell, which I started in July. I’m also a moderator at a couple Goodreads groups and I have books to read for the monthly discussions: Red Sister by Mark Lawrence and The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang. I’ve faced some personal challenges in the past few weeks and have not had much time to read. Hoping to get a least a few books read yet this month.

Michele Olson | 517 comments I'm going to finish the road trip challenge.

Edit Rasztik | 43 comments I'm probably not going to finish the road trip challenge, so I'm focusing on the yearly prompts.
My fixed TBR for August is:
The Twilight Garden
The Reading List
Baráti beszélgetések

But currently reading Jane Eyre, which is not for the summer challenge. Listening to The Gift of Fear: Survival Signals That Protect Us from Violence, also not for the summer challenge.

message 14: by Natalya (new)

Natalya | 33 comments This month I'm reading Heartless , Circe and also need to finish King Lear.

Christina ❤️M❤️ (christir1159) | 76 comments This month I am selfishly reading books that farther me in series
The Mad Ship by Robin Hobb
Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline
Still Life With Crows by Douglas Preston

I also have a few others not series and a couple 2023 yearly challenge
The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough
The Field Guide by Tony DiTerlizzi
My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix
Have a Little Faith: a True Story by Mitch Albom

I hope to get to Project Hail Mary and In the Lives of Puppets also, but it may be wishful thinking.

Denise | 554 comments The Odyssey, The Cat Who Saved Books, No One Is Talking About This, and finishing To Paradise, which was my schools out for the summer massive (600+ page) read but which I DNF even though work started this week ☹️

It's been on my shelf since Christmas 2021. Loved his TV series about food in Italy.
