it works if 50 percent of the book is in the woods.

For the sake of this task, are islands considered coastal? Ex. Nantucket or Orcas Island

I am unable to see by the summary if it takes place 50 percent in the woods or if the woods are just nearby.

Will Where the Crawdads Sing work for coastal setting?

Would The Word for World Is Forest work for woods/forest?
The description says it is set "on a tree-covered planet" and "the planet locals call Athshe, meaning "forest,"

Weighing in because I LOVE that book. The planet is entirely covered in forest (until humans come along and start chopping some of it down obvs) and the whole book takes place on that planet. Of course it's down to the mods but I would say it works.

Would Frenchman's Creek work for the wooded forest book? I know it is not completely forested but I think it is more than 50%

as long as its 50percent it will work

Wondering about Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries. It takes place in a "forest area" in that the village is next to the forest and that's where the supernatural comes from. I assume the character goes into the forest at some point. Do you think this would count, or has anyone read this who could tell me?

I have not read this one and not sure how much takes place in a forest. sorry.

I would say if she spends her time in the forest to make the 50 percent of the book in the forest it works, but its hard to say from the data on Goodreads.

I was just wondering. Would this work? It's nonfiction about woodlands and visiting them. Or is it a bit obscure?

In case anyone else is wondering, I glanced through this at the library and only a few scenes are actually in the forest.

sound like he spends time in the woods. as long as it 50 percent of the book... you are good to go.
