at one time we had each book discussion last two months instead of one, That might be an idea to go back to if interest is lagging.
Personally I dont mind leading a discussion if I nominate a book taht is chosen.

I run another book club, plus I run a film convention, have a husband and two kids, and a full time job. Reading is my escape in the small amount of leisure time I get. I am not always able to join in, even when I want to. I always liked that this group was available if I wanted to participate but I didn't feel like I had to. If the expectation is that when we nominate a book that gets chosen, we have to lead the discussion, I won't be nominating any more books. I can't make that commitment.
Stretching reads out over two months would be helpful for me to be able to participate. I'm still waiting for Sea of Tranquility to come from the library.

Sounds like I should help us plan further ahead, and maybe not choose newer books that have longer holds, too.

Do people not care what we read? (Maybe I should just pick the book that I want to read next?)
Is the request that if you nominate a book, and your book wins, that you get to lead the discussion, seen as too onerous? (If I pick the book, I can lead....)
Would you like to see more activity, and if so, how do you think we could increase it? If not, please be honest.
