I loved this one! It took me a little bit to get the hang of the world they're in but once I did, I couldn't put it back down.
Night Will Find You
I listened to this one. It was okay. I can't really remember everything that happened. The romance ending was a bit abrupt.
The Quiet Tenant
A good read. I was stressed the whole time from wanting to scream at the MC to RUN AWAY!!
The Wife Upstairs
I listened to this one as well. Very weird ending if you ask me. It wasn't super logical.
Head Like a Hole
I loved this one! If you're a fan of Junji Ito, this is a good read. It gave me Tomie vibes throughout.
You Shouldn't Have Come Here
Another listen. I'll be honest, I didn't like this one very much. The ending was way out there and was disconnected from the rest of the novel.
Divine Rivals
I'm usually hesitant to read series that aren't finished yet. This book is a primary example of why. I got to the end and hated that I'll have to wait for the sequel! It was fantastic
The Bad Beginning
I was looking for an easier read with this one. I started reading this again as a cleanser from all the other stuff (haha).
We both read separate Rachel Hawkins novels and both called the ending weird, how funny! haha.
I need to start waiting until all the books in a series are published too. I've had a few semi recently that had killer cliff hangers too. Specifically The Last Graduate, waiting for The Golden Enclaves was torture!
I love The Series of Unfourunate Events, good choice for palette cleanser!

This Month I Read…
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid- I liked this one, not my favorite Taylor Jenkins Reid ever, but good. I love the nuance she is able to put in her characters where they are imperfect, but still understandable and somewhat relatable. She makes them human and I really appreciate that.
The Villa by Rachel Hawkins- I felt the same about this one that I did with “We Were Never Here.” It left me with more questions than answers, which I don’t love in a thriller. The ending just felt weird and forced too. The most interesting part was the part that covered the events at the villa in the 1970’s. Just a meh overall for me.
The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes- I listened to this one on Audio. This was a fun series and this book was a fitting end to it. This was definitely a ride, but a good one. I loved how everything tied together at the end. The mind games thing was interesting, but that was one of most fun parts of the series overall.
Emma of 83rd Street by Audrey Bellezza and Emily Harding- This is a modern day retelling of Emma by Jane Austen. I really liked this one! I’m an Austen fan, but the language she uses can be challenging to read so I don’t reread her books a lot for that reason. I’ve always liked Emma, so getting to revisit the story in a modern day setting was fun. The retelling made for a fun contemporary romance as well, which y'all know I love.
