Carolien (carolien_s) Please use this topic to find a partner to buddy read a book with you.

Guidelines: The book must be by a South African author (either born in South Africa, resident in South Africa or closely associated with the country).

Once you have found your fellow readers, you are welcome to create another topic in this folder with the name of the book where you can share your thoughts on the book.

The moderators will list all proposed and current buddy reads in the group newsletter every month.

I've shifted my April nomination here.
Would anyone else (I think John & Carolien expressed an interest) like to read Country of My Skull: Guilt, Sorrow, and the Limits of Forgiveness in the New South Africa next?

I'm in for April with you, Lisa. Hope you can make it too, Carolien. Looking forward.

Yup, need to source it first but excited.

Carolien (carolien_s) I'm in as well. I have a copy and it's a reread for me, but I would like to see how my perspective changed in the 10 odd years since I originally read it.

John Mountford (killmandela) | 735 comments Great, Carolien! It'll be a shame if more don't join us. Antjie Krog is a wonderful poet, and she brings that beauty to her prose. The subject matter is compelling.

Carolien (carolien_s) Can we start after the Easter weekend? I have some assignments due and my youngest daughter is planning an epic Easter party.
