Read a book:
❇️ written by Julie Ann Walker, or any author with her first or last name. Link to Julie Ann Walker's backlist - https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...
Fun Facts about Julie Ann Walker:
▻ She is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and was the editor of her high school newspaper called The Tiger’s Tale
▻ She won many writing contests but wanted to "flex her mental muscles" so graduated college with a Bachelor of Science degree and went on to teach high school advanced mathematics.
▻ After moving to Chicago, she returned to her passion, writing romance and romantic suspense. She also loves travel, camping, hiking, cycling, cooking, and petting every dog that walks by her.
Read a book:
❇️ featuring an animal on the cover or in the story (bonus if a feline or tiger)

4. Little League Month ▻ The history of Little League baseball extends as far back as the game of baseball itself, which was introduced to the US as cricket during the Revolutionary War and started to morph into the game we know now during the Civil War. Little league baseball appeared for children during the 1880s in New York as part of adult clubs or as street ball. But in 1938, Carl Stotz organized a baseball league for the boys in his hometown of Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Having no sons of his own, Carl often played ball with his young nephews and wanted a way to provide an organized program for them.
Read a book:
❇️ tagged as any variation of sports or baseball

5. National Indoor Plant Week (third week) ▻ According to several sources, National Indoor Plant Week exists to “… promote and increase awareness of the importance of live plants in internal spaces”. Indoor plants keep our natural air cleaner, produce oxygen for us and absorb our carbon dioxide, help with our stress levels, and brighten our indoor spaces!
Read a book:
❇️ featuring a character who likes to garden or has house plants

6. September 1 ▻ Emma M. Nutt Day ▻ Early telephone systems required a switchboard to connect and disconnect phone users. This special day celebrates the world of telephone operators by celebrating the first woman telephone switchboard operator in America. Emma Nutt became the first woman telephone operator on September 1, 1878. She loved the job and worked at it for 33 years.
Read a book:
❇️ with double letters in the author's first or last name (eMMa nuTT)

7. September 5 ▻ Be Late for Something Day ▻ A great day to be a procrastinator. If you are among the millions of us who never seem to be able to stay on schedule, then you will certainly enjoy today. If you really want to enjoy the day (but risk making folks angry), you could ignore your alarm clock, ignore clocks altogether today, or be fashionably late on purpose (instead of your normal accidental fashionable lateness!).
Read a book:
❇️ with an author's first or last name that starts with a letter in PROCRASTINATION

8. September 6 ▻ Fight Procrastination Day ▻ Have to counter Be Late for Something Day with it's opposite today! Today is a day to fight procrastination. Make a decision. Take action. Do it now. Do it today. It may be hard to do. But, you will be glad you did.
Read a book:
❇️ featuring a character that may need to work around the clock, eg EMT, doctor, lawyer, law enforcement, etc.

9. September 21 ▻ International Peace Day ▻ This day seeks a global cessation of violence and war. Each year on this day, celebrations are held in hundreds of countries, all with the same goal in mind….to stop war and violence. Created and sponsored by the United Nations, the goal for this day is “a day of non-violence and cease-fire”. Wouldn’t it be nice if this one day succeeded and spread, country by country, day by day until there is no more war or violence? Can this goal ever succeed? Former Beatle John Lennon had the right vision in his song “Imagine“.

🍁9. September 21 ▻ International Peace Day ▻ This day seeks a global cessation of violence and war. Each year on this day, celebrations are held in hundreds of countries, all with the same goal in mind….to stop war and violence. Wouldn’t it be nice if this one day succeeded and spread, country by country, day by day until there is no more war or violence? Can this goal ever succeed? Former Beatle John Lennon had the right vision in his song “Imagine“.
