If so, then those romances are also built on flimsy grounds.

the enemies to lovers in these violent delights was incredible. 100% recommend it.

I didn’t like the romance or characters in these violent delights tbh…I loved the whole plot and concept tho! Also yeah I agree like I’ve never seen anyone have enemies irl before, sure there’s bullies and maybe like competitive rivals but I need lives at stake fr. Here’s some enemies to lovers I loved: dance of thieves, a curse so dark and lonely(idk if enemies is the word but she was his hostage) and defy the night(it’s hard to explain without spoilers but it’s friends to lovers to enemies/strangers to lovers)

When I say enemies to lovers is my favourite trope, I mean that

Enemies to lovers is kinda a rocky trope for me, I mean sometimes I like it but hot take: I did not like it in the Cruel Prince

literally my favorite trope ever, it's so romantic haha

I only like enemies to lovers in certain circumstances. I'm not a big fan of Jurdan, I love them but I don't like how he terrorized her. Any enemies to lovers that are not fantasy is a huge no for me. And it has to be a slow burn. Very picky, I know. I like enemies - to friends - to lovers. I hate when they just from enemies straight into lovers. I love the OUABH series for that reason, they didn't technically become a thing until a curse for true love or the ballad of never after if you count that.
