At the end of our last series voting, we decided that the Fatal series would follow our Troubleshooters series group read because of the close vote. Since First Family is a spinoff of the Fatal series, we will continue on with that one,. We will begin Fatal in September and will read one book a month until completion and then start First Family.

About the Series - Fatal
The inspiration for this series came back in 2007 when Force read about a congressman who’d been found dead in his Washington, D.C.-area home. At first, his death was investigated as a possible crime but it was later determined he died of natural causes. She wondered… If he had been murdered, who would’ve had jurisdiction over the case? That question led to Sam and Nick and the rest… Well, there’s no end in sight for the D.C. homicide detective and her politician husband.

I hate to say it, but I don't think I will continue with the First Family spinoff. I find the need to roll my eyes or hand wave too much in the first part of the series, and I can't imagine what lunacy will be in the First Family portion.

I'll watch your reviews and comments, and then I may jump in later.

I've not been a big fan of this series for the same reasons Sharon stated, but I have found that it has been entertaining and the mystery/suspense has been good. I'm not sure if I'll continue.

I'm planning to continue with the new First Family set of readings.

Is anyone else planning to continue the First Family series? Is it time for us to vote on another series to read?

I'm done. I read the first book just to see how that all played out. I can see it will be more of the same old - same old and I don't care to continue. So many books, so little time to read something I really don't enjoy.
