Dogman (gets much better as it goes along).
Cat Kid Comic Club
Heartstopper: Volume One

At the end of August I read The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang, 8/10, and my comments are in our folder for that series. I also squeezed in Skeleton Man by Tony Hillerman, 7.5/10. Most of this story was not really solving a mystery; the murder of the pawn shop owner was still unsolved at the end. For the characters in the book, this story was more like piecing together a puzzle; however, the reader knew all the pieces and how they fit together, so there was less suspense than one might have expected.
Now I’m reading Grey Sister by Mark Lawrence, 2nd book in his Book of the Ancestor series, for a different group here at Goodreads.

Last week I read The Dragon Republic to prepare for the next installment of our series discussion, and then I couldn't help myself and went straight on to The Burning God to finish out the trilogy. I'm so glad we chose this one for the group to read because it hadn't been on my radar screen AT ALL, and I absolutely loved it. Looking forward to seeing what everyone else has to say!
I'm now on to Funeral Songs for Dying Girls by Cherie Dimaline - I've been meaning to read this author for a while, and this one was available for instant download when I checked my library ebook holds so I am giving it a try. I'm not very far in but so far it's good!

Grey Sister by Mark Lawrence, 8.5/10.
Now reading Alchymist: A Tale Of The Three Worlds by Ian Irvine, book 3 in the Well of Echoes series. It’s a door-stopper so I want to finish it before my next trip—I don’t want to lug it along.

Funeral Songs for Dying Girls was excellent but dark - between that and the fact that my previous two reads were the Poppy War books, I needed something light-hearted to follow. So I am catching up on the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire - just read Be the Serpent and now I am on Sleep No More.
Finished Alchymist: A Tale Of The Three Worlds by Ian Irvine, 8/10.
Read The Shape Shifter by Tony Hillerman, also 8/10, and decided to start the Charlotte and Thomas Pitt series by Anne Perry, so I read The Cater Street Hangman, another 8/10.
