VampAmber | 622 comments Oops, sorry, I almost forgot to bust out my absolute addiction to all things horror genre. Better late than never, though. 😁

For my official pick, I offer The Amityville Horror, since the book and the movie are both horror and Halloween classics (just pretend all the sequels, prequels, and spin offs don't exist, trust me, your life will be better if you do). And for a "true" story from the 70s, it makes for a good retro fiction read. 😊 Can't seem to find it on ebook, but there's an audiobook version, almost every library system has at least one copy, usually more, and so many used copies everywhere that you could build a new house to read them all in. 📚 🏡

And in case you need more than two options, I dug through my tbr and found a few more good ones:
The Sacrifice by Rin Chupeco Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia The Hunger by Alma Katsu Extended Stay (Camino del Sol) by Juan Martinez The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay

Everything's under 350 pages, over 6 months old, and less than ten dollars on Amazon, so no worries. Pick whichever ones sound good.
