Annie is a kind, gentle, peacemaker hiding a secret pregnancy. After she enlists his help, Max finds Lucas Ryan, Annie’s lover and her child’s father, and Lucas shows up on her doorstep. Talk about the scene. Did you enjoy this side story and the way it was handled? Would you have liked more of this storyline?

This is one of my all-time favorite scenes. I remembered this scene from when I read this book years ago. Annie is a wonderful character, and I would have liked to learn more about how she and Lucas came to be.

This all came together so beautifully, and it was well told.

I didn't fail to notice that all 3 sisters were married off nice and neat. I liked it.

I thought Annie might get her own book eventually. I didn't think the story would be resolved this quickly.
