What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I started reading this book in 2021 so the book is atleast 3 years old.

I remember that it's a fantasy novel and has an island which has only females on it. this island is separated from the rest of the world and is pretty hard to reach. the main character's family sends here to this island because they're really poor and I don't think girls were allowed education(not sure). her younger sibling died from starvation in the winter.

this other girl washes up on the island and is hurt. it's revealed that her father drank a lot was like a psycho and once saw her sister with a guy so he buried her alive to punish her. later her mother gives her some supplies and tells her to escape, which is how she ends up in this island. I remember one scene where she tells the main character that her mom died because of her(she thinks her father killed her after she left), while repeatedly poking herself with a needle she was holding.

the island also had some event thing(I forgot this part mostly) in which the main character was dancing and had a vision of her dead sibling or something like that.
that's around 1/4th-1/3rd of the book and I don't remember the details exactly. I also forgot the name of the book but i remember that it has 6 letters and 3 syllables
