Mike Finn (goodreadscommike_finn) | 357 comments I've just started this and I'm impressed at how Christie continues to experiment with how she tells a story. It would have been so easy for her to just keep churning out the same stuff.

Teresa | 422 comments Yes this one is definitely different Mike. I enjoyed it a lot. Didn't guess the murderer which I love. I hate when it's too obvious but I don't mind an inkling. However, I had no clue in this one.

message 3: by Cindy (new)

Cindy | 107 comments I enjoyed it, but I didn’t find the solution plausible.

(view spoiler)

But other than that bit, I enjoyed the story.

Christine PNW (moonlight_reader) | 1165 comments I really like this book - I haven't reread it yet, but I am going to get to it this week.

Also, I profusely apologize for being such a terrible moderator!

Jessica | 157 comments No worries Christine, my last week just passed in a blur so I get it!

My library doesn't have a physical copy of this book but it looks like Hugh Fraser read it so it's probably a solid narration. I'm going to download the audio version and hope I don't need it in print.

Teresa | 422 comments I listened to the Hugh Fraser audiobook Jessica and it was brilliant. He's perfect at the voices as usual.

Teresa | 422 comments Will be interested in what you think of it Jessica.

message 9: by Maggie (new)

Maggie | 76 comments I agree with C, the solution didn’t seem plausible. I enjoyed reading it anyway, there wasn’t anything too fancy, it was just a good whodunnit, and the characters were likeable.

Teresa | 422 comments I thought the mix up at the table could happen. Especially at a round table. If you see your bag in a spot you'll just automatically sit there. That's the way I looked at it anyway.

Deborah (deborahkliegl) | 163 comments I really enjoyed this one because it was so difficult from the others.

Thank you.

Jessica | 157 comments I really liked this book on audio. I'm still in a whirl from the ending, trying to assimilate the facts. I also thought the mix up was possible.

æ | 1 comments This was my first Agatha Christie book, and still my favorite. But I just bought a bunch of her novellas, so I’m curious if something can compare to the Sparkling Cyanid

I really enjoyed some of her short stories. Though I agree, Sparkling Cyanide is one of the better of her full length stories, I think you might like some of the shorts as well.

message 18: by Rosemarie (new)

Rosemarie | 257 comments I really enjoyed this one too. I read it for the first time so many years ago that Christie kept me guessing. The ending was very exciting!
